The Benevolence ministry is designed to help needy or hurting people in the congregation and community.  This ministry provides a great opportunity for the church to reach and make a real difference in people’s lives.  The Benevolence ministry is more than giving money to the poor.  The right way to help is to become involved in the person’s life through relationship.  The Benevolence ministry was modeled after Acts 6:1-6

Deacons are unquestionable character, filled with the Holy Spirit, committed leaders that have a heart to serve.  As servants of Christ and to Christ’s people, the deacons will serve as the pastor’s special helpers and will work harmoniously at all times in the best interest of the church.  It is our duty to assist the pastor in all spiritual and financial works of the church.  Praying, ministering to the sick and poor, praying for all and by all means lead them to Christ and salvation.  They must first be tested and them if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

The Greeting Ministry is a ministry for Christ and encompasses the believers revealing Christ’s love to others, in order to draw others to God’s salvation and the Church.  This ministry encompasses Christ filled members from the church congregation who wait at the entrance of the church to welcome visitors to the church and prepare them to participate in church service.  The greeters are to make sure they welcome people warmly, with genuine love for them.

The Deaconess Ministry is called to assist Pastor, the Deacon Board, as well as the ministerial staff in all spiritual work of the church.  Many of our duties include, but not limited to ministering to the sick and poor, and comforting those that are dying either physically or spiritually.  We are blessed to serve the Holy Sacraments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on first Sunday.  The Deaconess Board ministers to all who have been led to the altar for salvation, prayer and any other specific needs.

The Intercessory Ministry meets Friday at 7:00 pm to serve God’s people through prayer.  We touch and agree in prayer about various concerns of God’s people and encouraging God’s people to pray believing God’s Word: Matthew 18:19 – “Again I say unto you.  That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.”

The Missionary Ministry is a much needed part of the body of Christ with a special assignment.  We are spiritual servants and disciples who accept and embrace the will of God, the word of God and the work of God for the glory of God.  As Missionaries by the grace of God, we will help promote and declare Jesus’ saving grace to sinners (evangelism), comfort to those who mourn, compassion to the unfortunate and help to those in need that the Name of Jesus will be made known and exalted in the earth.

Our primary responsibility and duties as servants of the Lord, is to assist the Pastor and provide for his needs.  We are to greet the congregation and visitors with a warm and friendly disposition, making them feel welcomed, as we usher them into the presence of the Lord.  We help maintain order and orchestrate movement during the service and prayer time.  Lastly, we receive the offering in a cheerful manner.  We strive to be efficient in our job, but never at the expense of kindness.
